This is another one of Lakeside's special places for kids!  There are nice breezes and, yes, you may think you are in Des Moines, Iowa but you are only a hop, skip and jump from the Gaslamp!  It's about a 30 minute drive East on 8.

It's a family owned dairy farm with lotsa HAPPY CALIFORNIA COWS and goats!  They transform their farm into a pumpkin patch every year.  This pumpkin patch, in my humble opinion, blows the sox off every other pumpkin patch in San Diego.  My daughter and I are loyal fans and visit Oma's Pumpkin Patch exclusively!

There is a petting zoo, hay ride, picnic tables, hay bale maze, toy trucks and tractors, sledding in cottonseeds and pumpkins, of course! This is a great place for a picnic ... pack one and eat on the shaded picnic tables. In addition, it's every parents dream for photo opportunities!

The family/owners host this extraordinary community service event every year and they are just delightful.  Even their kids are selling goodies at the snack bar with huge smiles and enthusiasm.  

It's only $6 bucks per child (free under one).  Each accompanying adult goes FREE.  Additional adults pay $3 bucks.  Each paid entrance offers a bottle of cold water, free hay ride and ALL other activities are FREE (it's nice 'cause they don't nickle and dime you!), and your child can choose a nice lil' pumpkin to take home!

NOTE:  Open every year from September 30th - November 1st but closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Not bad at all for a little back-country fun.
